1.

Be sure that poisonous products such as pesticides, automotive fluids, paint thinners, antifreeze, lighter fluids and turpentine have child-resistant tops and are storage out of a child's reach.

2.

Lawn utensils such as shovels, rakes and lawn chairs, along with articles with sharp edges should always be stored high and out of traffic areas.

3.

Make sure to store gasoline in small quantities and only in approved containers that are clearly marked and NEVER keep gas in a garage that has an appliance with a pilot light.

4.

If properly used, our shelving will not only keep you organized but also safe. Be sure they are not overloaded and your articles remain secure. Each one of our units has a maximum weight capacity of 1500
pounds per rack. However, if they are not properly used an accident could result.

5.

Always keep heavier items closer to the ground and use a step ladder equipped with a handrail when lifting.

6.

When lifting things overhead, get help! A good rule of thumb to remember: "safety is always best in numbers."

7.

Make sure and keep floors and steps free from clutter and anytime there is a spill, it should be cleaned immediately, especially grease and other hazardous chemicals.

8.

Designate one location that is low to the ground for children's toys to prevent curious exploration which may result in injury.

9. Younger children should ALWAYS be properly supervised when playing in the garage.

10. Adequate lighting should always be utilized in the garage, especially at the top and bottom of stairs.

11. Make sure and have secure hand rails installed on both sides of stairs t o prevent falling.

12.

Electrical problems are always an issue where there is a large accumulation of dust and dirt. Make sure and keep the area free and clean.
